No surprises, Asia’s favourite low-cost carrier has done it again

ONCE a novelty, low-cost airlines are today a dime a dozen, allowing travellers to visit far-flung destinations without breaking the bank and contributing to the increase of tourist arrivals and tourism dollars all around the globe.

It is also an industry disruptor and part of the reason why travel is expected to get more expensive next year.

Regardless, the proliferation of low-cost airlines has greatly benefited travellers in the past decade; much like how new technology has become an economic enabler and leveller, so too has low-cost travel.
