Why is this Japan’s worst city?

JAPAN is home to some of the world’s most iconic cities; offering the bustling modernity of Tokyo right down to the peaceful, old-fashioned charm of Kyoto. But there’s one unlucky town that strikes a bum note with locals and is repeatedly named Japan’s least favourite city.

A recent survey found that Japanese residents believe Nagoya to be the least appealing among all of the country’s cities.

The survey gathered responses from 3,344 participants ranging in age from of 20 and 64, all of whom had lived in one of the cities for at least five years, SoraNews24 reported.

Located in Japan’s Aichi Prefecture, Nagoya is the largest city in the Chūbu region of Japan and Japan’s third-largest incorporated city and the fourth-most-populous urban area.
