Australia is changing, and it is not for the best

What a bonza bloke Scott Morrison is. What a man of the people, a beer-drinking, pie-eating, sport-loving dinkum, dyed-in-the-wool Aussie. I mean, what would we do without him setting standards as he did this week? What an unruly mob we would all be otherwise, respecting the sensitivities of our Indigenous people by eschewing citizenship ceremonies on a day that marks the invasion of their country and subsequent genocide at white settlers’ hands. Why, if he didn’t tell us otherwise, new Australians might adopt the country’s national dress code of boardies and thongs at their swearing in ceremonies. I mean, the man has saved us from virtual anarchy! All hail our saviour!

And while it was all a pretty perfunctory overview of our history, voting system and way of life, I did find a few furphies, which I feel it is my duty as an Australian citizen to clarify to those who wish to be. So, here goes:

We are proud to live in a peaceful........
