Edward Trudgill and David Macdonald, both 39, died in on the A143 at Billingford in August last year, following a crash involving a Mini Cooper.
The crash happened close to the village sign, around three miles away from Brockdish, near Diss, where both men lived just a handful of doors apart.
Inquests into the deaths of Mr Trudgill and Mr Macdonald opened in Norwich on Tuesday and Wednesday respectively.
They heard that both men died at the scene of the crash on Sunday, August 27 last year.
On Tuesday, area coroner Samantha Goward confirmed Mr Trudgill was born in Norwich and was employed as a wiring technician.
The following day, assistant coroner Christopher Leech stated that Mr Macdonald was born in Eye in Suffolk and worked as an agronomist and a national accounts manager.
After his death, agricultural firm ADAMA, Mr Macdonald's employer paid a public tribute to him, stating he had a huge impact on the firm and his colleagues.
In a statement, the organisation said: "He was a kind, funny and extremely well-liked colleague who was always ready to lend a hand and make a difference to the team.
"Dan will be sorely missed by all those he knew and worked with."
Following the crash, a man in his 40s who was driving a red Mini Cooper was questioned by police in relation to the incident.
However, police confirmed in December that no further action would be taken against him.
Inquests into the deaths of Mr Trudgill and Mr Macdonald have been scheduled to be held at Norfolk Coroenr's Court on October 18 - with hearings to be held separately at 10am and 2pm respectively.
