Perhaps one of Israeli society's greatest failures is that six months on from that bloody Saturday, there has yet to be a major, mass rally of identification with the families of the Israeli hostages held in Gaza – with their pain, with the fact that we as a society are their guarantors. There has yet to be a moment where all of Israeli society, or at least the majority, stops and says, "We are with you."
