According to Hindu mythology, Akshaya Tritiya marks the day when Lord Parashurama, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu, was born. It is also believed to be the day when Lord Ganesha began writing the epic Mahabharata to Ved Vyasa’s dictation.
