Mumbai: The eagerly awaited 71st edition of the Miss World pageant captivated viewers worldwide which held in India after a gap of 28 years. The grand finale event was held on March 9 at the Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai. Krystyna Pyszková, hailing from the Czech Republic, claimed victory as the winner of the esteemed 71st Miss World title. Representing her country among 112 other contestants, Pyszková emerged victorious, succeeding Karolina Bielawska of Poland, the reigning Miss World 2022, in a splendid ceremony.

While many celebrities graced the occasion, like Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hedge, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh, Rajat Sharma and Manushi Chhillar (MissWorld 2017), founder of Reliance Foundation and NMACC, Nita Ambani’s regal look caught everyone’s eye.

She wore a traditional Banarasi Jangla saree made with the finesse of Indian craftsmanship at the 71st Miss World event. Her saree was handcrafted from lustrous gold zari and Indian silk, enhancing her elegance. It had intricate floral jaal, delicately woven with meenakari detailing which added more grace to the saree. The saree took 45 days of meticulous effort to be created by skilled artisan Shri Mohammad Islam from Swadesh and under the expertise of Manish Malhotra, the saree reflected the beauty of Indian artistry on a global stage.

Nita Ambani was honoured with the Humanitarian Award at the 71st Miss World by Julia Morley, acknowledging her impactful contributions as a business leader, philanthropist, and educator. Following the award presentation, a video presentation by Priyanka Chopra Jonas conveyed appreciation to Julia Morley and lauded Ambani’s passion, commitment, and meticulousness.

In her acceptance speech, Nita Ambani expressed gratitude for the recognition, attributing it to her core values rooted in Indian principles. She emphasised the importance of truth, purity, integrity, nurturing inner divinity, and celebrating beauty.
