New Delhi: Sahitya Kala Parishad, the Art and Culture Department of the Government of NCT of Delhi, is going to host the grand inauguration of the ‘Voice of Colors’ exhibition, scheduled for March 1st, 2024. The event will take place at the iconic Bikaner House, located at Pandara Road, India Gate, New Delhi.

The exhibition promises a stunning display of exceptional artworks curated from artists’ camps held in 2017 and 2024. These artworks will unleash the creativity of the artists who curated an array of art pieces in various styles and sizes. Celebrated artists and dignitaries will grace the occasion. Saurabh Bharadwaj, the Hon’ble Minister of Arts and Culture, Government of NCT of Delhi, will be inaugurating the exhibition.

‘Voice of Colors’ will showcase a diverse collection of mesmerising artworks by celebrated artists including Ajay Samir, Anupam Sud, Dharmendra Rathore, Gopu Gajwani, Hemraj, Jaganth Panda, Madhvi Parekh, Manisha Puskle, Mannu Parekh, Manoj Aggarwal, Milan Sharma, Ritu Kamath, Sabia, Shobha Broota, Shridhar Iyer, and Yusuf. Amongst the art pieces art enthusiasts will get to see amazing creations like that of Sabia. Her artwork intertwines with nature, serving as a wellspring of inspiration. Her vibrant depictions celebrate the symbiosis between nature and femininity, where women find solace amidst its embraces. Meticulously studying each element, Sabia infuses her canvases with radiant hues, evoking joyous vitality. Shridhar Iyer’s ‘Jatra’ is one of the other art pieces to look forward to.

On Earth, a tiny atom suddenly erupts with volcanic fury, producing bright pictures like a dramatic procession known as a ‘Jatra’ (a Bengali word for an unending drama). Every shape communicates its story, breaking through boundaries with vivid colours and flowing lines—from ponds to oceans, alphabets to spoken words. Renowned Indian contemporary artist Hemraj presents captivating abstract oil paintings that enchant art enthusiasts globally. Embracing the transient nature of ideas like fashion trends, he delves deeper to encapsulate the timeless essence of human existence—an exploration centred on the enduring core within individuals, untouched by life’s fluctuations.

Saurabh Bharadwaj, the Hon’ble Minister of Arts and Culture, Government of NCT of Delhi, said, “It is exciting to witness this exceptional collection of artworks that reflect the rich work of artistic expression. The ‘Voice of Colors’ exhibition promises to be a celebration of creativity and inspiration, offering a unique opportunity for art lovers to engage with the vibrant world of contemporary art.”

Visitors will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the creativity and talent of these esteemed artists. The exhibition will be open daily from 11 am to 7 pm, providing art enthusiasts with ample time to explore and appreciate the artworks on display.
