New Delhi: Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 7 wickets in the 44th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler provided a great start to RR in the powerplay. Both stitched a 60-run partnership for the first wicket. A 121-run partnership between Dhruv Jurel and Sanju Samson took RR over the line. Samson scored 71 runs off 33 balls, he smashed seven boundaries and four maximums. Jurel also scored 52 runs off 34 balls with five boundaries and two maximums.

Earlier, LSG batted first and scored 196 runs in the 20 overs. Quinton de Kock and Marcus Stoinis didn’t contribute much with the bat. KL Rahul struck 76 runs off 48 balls, his remarkable knock was laced with eight fours and two maximums. Deepak Hooda also scored his first half-century of the season.

Earlier, Delhi Capitals (DC) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by 10 runs in the 43rd match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

After the completion of LSG vs RR, There are changes in the Orange Cap Holder list. Virat Kohli remains at the top spot with 430 runs. Sanju Samson comes in at the second spot with 385 runs. KL Rahul is in the third position with 378 runs.

The Purple Cap holder list sees changes after the completion of the LSG vs RR match, Jasprit Bumrah is back at the top spot with 14 wickets. Harshal Patel is in the second spot with 14 wickets and Yuzvendra Chahal is at the third sport with 13 wickets.
