New Delhi: Mitchell Starc silenced his critics with a sensational comeback in the 51st match of the Indian Premier League between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Starc was criticised heavily for not delivering big performances with the ball for KKR in the ongoing IPL.

He became the most expensive player in the history of the IPL after KKR bought him for 24.75 Crores in the auction. Starc struggled to perform with the ball and had only managed to take 7 wickets in nine matches. But he made a great comeback and took four wickets against MI and gave away 33 runs in 3.5 overs.

Starc dismissed Ishan Kishan in the second over with the perfect length ball and uprooted his leg-stump. He took one wicket and gave away 23 runs in his first two overs of the spell. The Australian fast bowler then made a magnificent comeback by taking three wickets and giving away just 10 runs in his last two overs. He dismissed Tim David, Piyush Chawla and Gerald Coetzee in the same over.
