Chennai: In a major traffic diversion in the city, the Greater Chennai Traffic Police has announced another traffic diversion in the city for a year. This has come in view of the proposed flyover construction work at Madley Junction in T Nagar.
Traffic has been diverted from today due to the construction work of the flyover from South Osman Road to North Osman Road.
Traffic Diversions:
Projected Flyover construction work at Madley Junction, South Usman Road to North Usman Road flyover.
Diversion is for a year from 27.04.2024 to 26.04.2025.

Due to the commencement of flyover construction from Madeli Junction South Usman Road to North Usman Road, the following traffic diversions will be implemented for one year from April 27, Chennai Traffic police said in a press release.
Vehicles coming from North Usman Road towards T. Nagar Bus Stand are prohibited from using the Usman Road flyover near Panagal Park. Instead, vehicles can take the Anugu (Service) Road of the flyover and reach the D. Nagar Bus Stand via Prakasam Road, Bhashyam Road, Thiagaraya Road, and Burkit Road.
Only buses will be allowed to ply from Burkitt Road Moopparapan Street Junction towards Madli. Other vehicles can reach T. Nagar Bus Stand via Usman Road via Moopbarappan Street, Musa Street, South Dandapani Street, and Mannar Street.
Vehicles going from CIT Nagar 1st Main Road to North Osman Road can take South West Path Road at Kannammapet junction and Venkat Narayana Road to reach North Osman Road via Nageswaran Rao Road.
From T. Nagar Bus Stand to reach North Osman Road from Madli Roundabout take Barkit Road and take left at Nageswara Rao Road via Venkat Narayana Road to reach North Osman Road. Motorists and the public are requested to cooperate.
