New Delhi: A young boy’s strength and bravery stunned the internet. Netizens were quick to laud the boy whose swift thinking helped save the lives of his parents.

Nine-year-old Branson was travelling with his parents Wayne and Lindy Baker when a tornado caused them an accident. As the two adults were stuck inside the car, the young boy decided to step up. As per Goodnews Movement, young Branson ran for more than a kilometre despite a storm to get somebody to help his parents.

“On April 27, Wayne and Lindy Baker were left badly injured after the truck was caught in an EF-4 tornado in Marietta, Okla – their son was travelling with them. A tree uprooted in the weather hit the car, trapping Branson’s parents inside. Though scared, their 9-year-old ran a mile in the storm through downed power lines until he could get help,” said the Instagram page.

It further stated, “Branson’s father, Wayne, said it could have gone a lot differently and credits their son for being a hero: ‘We could pretty much see the tornado within about a mile, two miles away from us. But, as we turned, the tornado turned itself.”

Wayne and his wife are currently getting treated for their injuries.

Meanwhile, speaking to ABC News about his experience, the young boy stated, “I was really, really scared. As soon as I went to go get help, I said, ‘Don’t die’.”

Netizens were blown away by the incident. One commented, “He was such a brave boy! But hopefully, his family will get him in therapy to help him process all that because that’s A lot of trauma to experience at 9.” Another person wrote, “He ran a mile in a tornado storm after being in a car accident, and witnessing his parents being severely injured, and he’s only 9. What a brave boy!!”
