ISLAMABAD – Rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Eid-ul-Fitr.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave will likely enter the upper parts of the country from 10th April (evening/night).
Under these conditions, mainly dry weather is expected in the twin cities and most parts of the country on Tuesday evening/night. Hot weather is expected in plain areas.
On Wednesday and Thursday, rain-win/thunderstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Potohar region, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir. Dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
Islamabad’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 30-32 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and 31-33 on Thursday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 30-32 C on Wednesday and 31-33 on Thursday.
Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and most parts of Pakistan during the last 24 hours.
Nawabshah remained the hottest place in the country where the maximum temperature reached 44 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 44 per cent.
In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 32 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 60 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 32 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 39 per cent.
