The Porsche 911 is the German manufacturer’s most recognizable and expensive model. Fortunately, it’s also the one whose sales are growing the fastest, and that’s helping Porsche AG cope with a cornucopia of challenges that have made it appear like the poor relation to Ferrari NV. Though it's nice to have such a cash cow, Porsche needs to show other models can deliver similar success.

Deliveries of the iconic sports car — which recently celebrated its 60th anniversary — increased by 24% in 2023 to more than 50,000 units, far outstripping the growth rate of any other Porsche vehicle.

Demand for the 911 has increased a whopping 44% since 2019, compared with just a 14% rise in Porsche’s overall sales in that period.
