If you're on the look out for a new drama to get stuck into, there's one launching on Channel 5 on Monday night in the form of Love Rat.

Over the last few years, Channel 5 has had success with a growing list of dramas starring popular stars, with Sally Lindsay's Cold Call one of the first, before Jill Halfpenny's The Drowning and The Holiday were both hits and The Teacher, starring Sheridan Smith, also proved to be a ratings winner. And its ex Coronation Street star Sally who leads the cast of Love Rat, which begins its four night run on Monday night.

Sally plays Emma, a divorcee who falls for handsome stranger Niko whilst on holiday in Cyprus, only for her dream romance to turn into a living nightmare, as she loses everything and he turns out to be anything but the perfect gentleman. Talking about Love Rat and her new on screen alias, Sally said: "Love Rat is a brilliantly entertaining story, full of twists and surprises; it really turns the topic on its head which is what drew me to the project.
