It's the murder mystery that has kept millions of viewers guessing for nearly a year and on Monday night, EastEnders fans finally found out the identity of the murder victim and which one of the 'Six' was responsible. And in scenes that had fans on the edge of their seats, it was Keanu who was killed at the hands of Linda, after Nish was also left for dead moments earlier.

It was back in February that the BBC soap broke with tradition to air a 'flash forward' episode, showing a lifeless body on the floor of the Queen Vic on Christmas day, as Sharon, Linda, Kathy, Stacey, Denise and Suki stood over them. Rather than dwell on the situation, the clock was turned straight back to January, with fans on a constant look out for clues and tell tale signs ever since.

In the weeks that have leaded up to the late night and extended edition of EastEnders, each of the Six have had their own episode and drama to deal with. Stacey slept with yet another Branning, spending the night with Jack, as things got worse for her when Denise found out. Sharon is hiding a huge secret from husband to be Keanu, having discovered that Phil is Albie's father, not him, wile Suki is determined to flee Albert Square with Eve, having believed husband Nish had killed her.

And then there's Linda, who already struggling with it being a year since childhood sweetheart Mick went into the freezing sea never to be seen again, received a text from someone claiming to Mick, with her realising straight away that her rapist Dean was the culprit.

All of the separate storylines, also including Kathy's deception at the hands of Rocky Cotton, put any of the Six in the frame for murder, with a clear motive and, at the end of the 60 minute Christmas episode all was revealed. The extended instalment had everything, including Sharon finding out at the altar that Keanu was responsible for Albie's kidnap and Phil finding out he was his dad after the wedding was called off, while Suki ended up locked in her own home after Nish was released by police, with her then helped by Ravi as he apprehended Nish to allow her to escape.

With 10 minutes to go Suki, Stacey, Sharon, Kathy, Denise and Linda, who was once again creeped out by Dean, were all in the Queen Vic, with the women summoning Nish to join them. In a tense showdown Denise struck Nish over the head with a bottle, leaving him for dead but then, in a huge twist as Keanu came to get answers from Sharon and attempted to strangle her, Linda picked up a knife and stabbed him.
