Greater Anglia warned of travel problems between Norwich and Cambridge on Friday afternoon due to a signalling fault at Ely railway station.

The rail company reported that the fault had been repaired on Friday evening, but there is now further disruption due to a fault with freight train at Ely.

At about 10.30am on Saturday (February 10), Greater Anglia said all routes are currently blocked.

A spokesman said: "The driver of the freight train is now in contact with their Fleet team to try and rectify the problem."

The problem is likely to affect hundreds of Norwich City fans heading to London for today's Championship game with QPR.
