Guests at Norfolk Hideaways’ North Norfolk cottages will soon be able to forage for their own food, accompanied by trained professionals, and learn how to turn what they find into tasty meals.

The Norfolk company is partnering with Wildfood UK to offer the experience, with guests exploring woodlands and coastal locations as part of the tour.

Company owners say it's part of a drive to teach holidaymakers about the area they’re visiting, with the natural environment a key focus.

Norfolk is known for having an abundance of wild food, including Puffball mushrooms and samphire.

Wildfood UK founder Marlow Renton said: “Suffolk and Norfolk, with their sprawling woodlands and pristine coastlines, offer a perfect canvas for foraging adventures.

“These regions are teeming with wild treasures waiting to be unearthed, from rare fungi to edible flowers.

“We are delighted to offer visitors staying at Suffolk and Norfolk Hideaways the opportunity to become foraging experts through our course.”
