The inquest into William Andrews' death was opened at Norfolk Coroner's Court by Jaqueline Lake.

It heard that Mr Andrews, 84, died at his home in Fakenham from mesothelioma - an industrial disease associated with asbestos exposure.

He died on April 7, just days before his 85th birthday.

Mr Andrews was born on April 11, 1938, in Leicester.

The full inquest will be held at the Norfolk Coroner's Court in July.
