Jeremy Black has applied to knock down Well Cottage, on Lynn Road at Great Bircham, near Docking, and build four new houses on its plot.

A planning statement says permission was granted for a similar scheme in 2021, but plans have had to be re-drawn because of issues over access.

"The site is on the edge of Great Bircham, a rural village in an agricultural landscape," it adds.

"The proposals take reference the local built context and material palette to create two farmhouse style buildings and two estate cottage style buildings."

A new access is also proposed on to Crow Lane. Plans show a mixture of three, four and five-bed properties on the site.

Well Cottage sold for £676,000 in December 2022.

A decision is expected from West Norfolk Council later this year.
