The East Norfolk branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has named Blackfriars Tavern Pub of the Year and Cider Pub of the Year.

A CAMRA spokesman said the dual recognition underscores the tavern's excellence in the local real ale and cider community.

The public house was revitalised and currently serves at least eight local ales and more than 30 still ciders, with many from its onsite microbrewery.

Mr Smith said: "We are delighted by these first-time wins of each award as well as the fact of the double victory, which is built on the foundation laid as last year's runner-up for both accolades."
