It was eminently foreseeable. After a few hours of shock, Israel haters worldwide figured out that the heroic rescue in Rafah was excessively brutal and therefore unacceptable. They said it was "disproportionate" to rescue two hostages at the price of killing dozens of Palestinians. Naturally, they neglected to note that a significant proportion of the fatalities were Hamas terrorists who opened fire at our troops while hiding behind women and children in residential apartments.
