I participated in the mass demonstration outside the Knesset last Tuesday. When I arrived at the road leading towards the protest, I encountered an embarrassing scene. A middle-aged woman was yelling at a young Haredi man, angry with him for not enlisting in the army and going to fight in Gaza. The woman's partner manages to persuade her to leave the young man alone, but even after moving on she continued complaining loudly, "Why isn't he in Gaza?"
