People get used to wealth just as they do to poverty, and to death just as they do to the good life. When I pay a condolence call of late, I say, "It's good that the deceased, on his final journey, had the privilege of a dignified parting from his family and friends." In other places, funerals aren't held for individuals; there's one mass funeral for many people. Sometimes, there's no funeral at all. The family knows where their loved one died, but it's impossible to reach his body.
