*About 300 Muslim people headed to DC rally left stranded by bus drivers staging ‘deliberate and malicious’ walkout

Hundreds of Muslims headed to Tuesday’s rally against Islamophobia in DC were left stranded when bus drivers staged “a deliberate and malicious walk-off,’’ a major Muslim organization said.

The “anti-protest” left a chartered flight from Detroit — about 300 people — on the Dulles Airport tarmac for about 11 hours before they were sent back home, causing them to miss the entire March against Islamophobia event. . . .

The drivers had organized a “mass sick-out” day to prevent Muslim ralliers from attending the much-anticipated march, leaving just a handful available to meet their obligations.

*Pro-Israel rally at Cooper Union leads to tense moments at school library

There were tense moments at the campus of Cooper Union in Manhattan on Wednesday afternoon.

Students who are pro-Palestinian say they felt unsafe as pro-Israel demonstrators banged and chanted outside the library they were studying in. They tell CBS New York’s Lisa Rozner school staff locked them in the library due to safety concerns.

*Asian students at MIT blocked from attending classes by ‘hostile’ anti-China protesters

Asian students at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology say they were prevented from attending classes by a “blockade” of hostile anti-China students — and fear the school is “not safe for Asians.”

An open letter penned by the MIT Asian Student Alliance alleges that Chinese and other Asian students were “physically” obstructed from classrooms by a “hostile” group called the Coalition Against China (CAC).

*Black man killed in altercation at dueling BLM, ALM rallies in California

Authorities in Ventura County, California, are investigating the death of a black man who was injured during a confrontation at dueling Black Lives Matter and All Lives Matter rallies and who died Monday, the sheriff’s department said.

Witnesses said Paul Kipling, 69, “was in a physical altercation with counter-protestor(s),” the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement. . . .

A photo posted to social media showed Kipling before the altercation, waving a BLM flag at an intersection.

A press photographer then captured an image of Kipling receiving treatment on a sidewalk at 3:20 p.m. (6:20 p.m. ET), his head laying on a bloodied homemade sign. Video also posted online appears to show Kipling lying on the sidewalk with his head covered in blood.

Another video appears to show All Lives Matter demonstrators continuing to shout slogans and wave flags after Kipling was injured — with police cars and an ambulance yards away.

*Tulane Student Criticizes School after Being Assaulted While Preventing Pride Flag Burning

On Thursday, anti-LGBT protests turned violent at Tulane University in New Orleans.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media, a group of agitators can be seen driving down a New Orleans street that divided pro-LGBT and pro-Straight/Cis protesters. One man, standing in the bed of a pickup truck, waves a Bible as another lifts a Progress Pride flag, holding it up in front of the crowd.

The second man can be seen taking a lighter out of his pocket, flicking it, and raising it to the Progress Pride flag’s chevron, when a student — carrying his own Pride flag — emerges from the throng. He grabs the flag from the protester in the nick of time, saving it from immolation, as the Bible-waver hits him over the head with a flagpole.

Now imagine if all these incidents had actually happened as described above in a period of five weeks in the United States. Would this kind of racial intolerance represent a national crisis? Would anybody be justifying the actions of the perpetrators?
