New Delhi: The Delhi Police has urged the city residents to stay updated and aware about the latest developments in the city. It asked the residents to join their WhatsApp channel and stay updated about all the important updates about traffic, cyber crimes, Delhi Police’s initiatives, and other security advisories. The request was shared on Delhi Police’s social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.

Taking to social media, DCP Suman Nalwa, PRO, Delhi Police, said, “You’re welcome to Delhi Police’s WhatsApp channel. We know that an aware citizen is a valuable asset for the society and the country. We are aware that social media has become the most efficient and effective way of transmitting information these days. Hence, to keep the city residents updated with all the latest information like traffic updates, cyber crimes, Delhi Police’s initiatives, and other security advisories, we have launched our WhatsApp channel.”

She added, “The Delhi Police team will bust the myths and share its official stance on any misinformation on this WhatsApp channel. Delhi Police is committed to the security and service of the city residents. Hence, we urge you to join our WhatsApp channel, and stay updated and safe.”

After the launch of its WhatsApp channel, the Delhi Police shared an update which read, “Raise your voice against anti-social activities! If a taxi, cab or auto driver takes you on the wrong route, misleads you or harasses you with inappropriate behavior, then immediately inform Delhi Police on 112/1091, because in this fight #AkeleNahinHainAap”
