New Delhi: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 98 runs in the 54th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. Chasing the huge target, LSG lost the wicket of Arshin in the second over. KL Rahul and Marcus Stoinis stitched a 50-run partnership for the second wicket. Other LSG batters failed to make any big contribution with the bat as LSG got all out on 137.

Earlier, KKR batted first and scored 235 runs in the 20 overs. Salt and Narine provided a brilliant start to KKR. Sunil Narine smashed 81 runs off 39 balls, he smacked six boundaries and seven maximums. Ramandeep Singh also played a sensational cameo in the end as KKR posted the highest T20 total in Lucknow.

Earlier in the afternoon, CSK defeated Punjab Kings by 28 runs in the 53rd match of the IPL 2024 at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala.
