New Delhi: A woman in Rajasthan’s Churu district has accused her husband of intoxicating her and forcing her to have sex with others, including her father-in-law and brother-in-law, for the last 15 years. Acting on her complaint, the police have filed an FIR and registered a case against the accused man. They have named eight people in the FIR, including the woman’s father-in-law and brother-in-law, who allegedly raped her. A probe into the matter is underway. The incident came to light on May 4.

The married woman alleged that her husband had been mixing intoxicants in her tea and make her drink it and then get her raped, a report in NDTV Rajasthan said. She also said that if she protested, her husband threatened to kill her. She claimed she was often ruthlessly thrashed by her husband when she refused to comply with his demands.

The police said the woman levelled allegations against her husband, stating that he had been continuously feeding her intoxicants for the last 15 years and forcing her to have physical relations with other people.

The woman, a mother of three sons and a daughter, alleged that once her husband chased her with a sharp-edged weapon to slit her throat when she protested against him. But, she somehow escaped. In the FIR, the woman also said that the accused are threatening her to kill her brother as her three children are staying with him. Acting on the woman’s complaint, the police have said they will take stringent action against the man.

In October last year, a woman lodged a complaint in Bengaluru against her husband alleging that he coaxed her into having sex with three of his friends. He allegedly threatened to sever ties with her if she didn’t do as he wanted. The couple was married for 16 years and had two minor kids.

Two years back, a shocking incident had been reported from Pune, where a man had forced his wife to have sex with two of his friends. As they indulged in physical relations with his wife, the man watched it all. Later, the 48-year-old married woman lodged a complaint and a case was registered against the husband and his two friends at the Bharati University police station.
