Publications including the BBC, The Guardian, The Telegraph, The Sun, The Times and others have now named Wright, known as the 'Suffolk Strangler', as the man rearrested on suspicion of murder.

This newspaper has been unable to independently verify these reports.

However, when questioned by this newspaper Suffolk police did not confirm or deny who the suspect is.

Wright killed five women in Ipswich over several months in late 2006.

He was previously the landlord of the Ferry Boat pub in King Street, Norwich.

Victoria’s body was discovered more than 20 miles away from where she was last seen in mid Suffolk several days after she went missing, with her killer never brought to justice.

Suffolk police has confirmed a man who was arrested in connection with the probe in July 2021 was rearrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday and taken into custody.

The Telegraph reported at the time that it was Wright who was being questioned over Victoria's death.
