KARACHI – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rainfall of varying intensities in Karachi, Hyderabad and parts of Sindh during the weekend.

As per the synoptic situation, a strong westerly wave prevails over western parts of Pakistan. It may grip most parts of the country on 13th April and may persist in upper parts till 15th April.

Under these conditions, partly cloudy weather is expected in most districts of the province on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday. However, rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Dadu Jamshoro, Larkana, Sukkur, Jacobabad and Kashmore on Friday night. On Saturday and Sunday, rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Dadu, Jamshoro, Larkana, Sukkur, Jacobabad, Shaheed Benazirabad, Sanghar, Mithi, Padidan, Kashmore, Karachi and Hyderabad.

Karachi’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 35-37 degrees Celsius on Saturday and 33-35 C on Sunday.

Hyderabad’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 38-40 C on Saturday and 37-39 C on Sunday.

Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed in the port city and most parts of the province during the last 24 hours.

Nawabshah remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature reached 43 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 27 per cent.

In Karachi, maximum temperature was recorded at 34 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 60 per cent.

In Hyderabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 39 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 29 per cent.
