KARACHI – Significant rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Karachi, Hyderabad and parts of Sindh on Thursday evening/night and Friday.

As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a strong westerly wave prevails over most parts of Pakistan. It will likely grip upper parts of the country on Friday.

Under these conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Larkana, Qamber Shahdadkot, Dadu, Ghotki, Kashmore, Naushero Feroze, Matiari, Tando Mohammad Khan, Tando Allahyar, Padidan, Sakrand, Mirpur Khas, Sanghar, Jamshoro, Hyderabad, Karachi, Thatta, Sajawal and Badin on Thursday evening/night and Friday.

Karachi’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 32-34 degrees Celsius on Friday and 34-36 C on Saturday.

Hyderabad’s maximum temperatures will remain between 34-36 C on Friday and 36-38 C on Saturday.

Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed in most districts of Sindh during the last 24 hours. However, rainfall occurred at places of upper Sindh.

Mithi remained the hottest place in the province where maximum temperature was recorded at 42 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 60 per cent.

In Karachi, maximum temperature was recorded at 36 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 78 per cent.

In Hyderabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 38 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 60 per cent.
