ISLAMABAD – United Arab Emirates saw devastating scenes after record rains, as torrential rains and flooding left a trail of destruction, with hundreds of people stranded at Dubai and other airports.

Pakistan’s former cricketers and thousands of others are currently stranded at Dubai and other airports.

Misbahul Haq took to social media to share his plight. He mentioned standing in line for half a day just to speak to airport staff while Kamran Akmal also criticized the service of an Emirati airline on his social media account.

Absolutely right. I know it’s challenging for Emirates but still they need to handle it in a better way. People travelling are stuck for more than two days without hotel accommodation. Everyone have to be in queues for more than half of the day just to talk to staff at counters, Misbah said.

Kamran also expressed disappointment over the chaotic scenes at Dubai airport.

Passengers traveling from Madinah to Dubai via Kuwait after performing Umrah were stranded at the Kuwait airport for two days due to the closure of Dubai airport.

Over 50 Pakistani passengers faced distressing conditions, with elderly women, children, and sick passengers forced to sleep on the airport floor. They appealed to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for help, as they received no response from Pakistani consulate authorities in Kuwait.
