ISLAMABAD – More rain-wind/thunderstorms, isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Monday night.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a strong westerly wave prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, more rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in the twin cities, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and upper Punjab on Monday night. Heavy falls/hailstorms are also likely at isolated places in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. Snowfall is also likely over high mountains of Kashmir and northern areas during the period.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, dry weather is expected in most plain areas of the country. However, more rain/thunderstorms are likely at isolated places in upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during morning hours. Rain-wind/thunderstorms with isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are also likely in Southwest Balochistan during night hours.
Islamabad’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 22-24 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 23-25 C on Wednesday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 19-21 C on Tuesday and 20-22 C on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred in the twin cities and parts of Pakistan during the last 24 hours.

In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 22 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 100 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 22 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 90 per cent.
