LAHORE – More rain-wind/thunderstorms and isolated hailstorms are expected in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Monday evening/night.

As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), a strong westerly wave prevails over most parts of Pakistan.

Under these conditions, more rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore and Kasur on Monday evening/night. Isolated heavy falls and hailstorms are also expected during the period.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, dry weather is expected in most districts of the province. However, partly cloudy weather is expected in Murree, Galyat and surroundings areas.

Lahore’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 26-28 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 28-30 C on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred in Lahore and parts of Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Rainfall (mm): Murree 58, Sargodha 25, Islamabad (City 22, Saidpur 21, Golra 09, Bokra 07, Airport 04), Rawalpindi (Kacheri 18, Shamsabad 15, Chaklala 10), Gujranwala 18, Sialkot (City 17, Airport 03), Sheikhupura 12, Mandi Bahauddin 11, Attock, Hafizabad 10, Mangla 08, Lahore Airport, Jhelum 06, Chakwal 05, Joharabad 02

Bahawalpur remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature reached 34 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 42 per cent.

In Lahore, maximum temperature was recorded at 33 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 63 per cent.
