PESHAWAR – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted more rain-wind/thunderstorms and hailstorms in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday night.

As per the synoptic situation, a strong westerly wave prevails over most parts of Pakistan.

Under these conditions, more rain-wind/thunderstorms with isolated hailstorms and snowfall over mountains are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner, Malakand, Khyber, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Swabi, Mardan and Kuram on Monday night. Isolated heavy falls are also expected in upper parts during the period.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, dry weather is expected in most districts of the province. However, more rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Shangla, Buner and Malakand during morning hours.

Peshawar’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 23-25 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 22-24 C on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred in Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.

Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature reached 25 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 87 per cent.

In Peshawar, maximum temperature was recorded at 19 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 85 per cent.
