ISLAMABAD – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted rainfall of varying intensities in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Tuesday night and Wednesday.

As per the synoptic situation, A shallow westerly wave lies over north western parts of Pakistan. It will likely affect upper parts of the country during next 24 hours.

Under these conditions, partly cloudy weather and rains with wind/thunderstorms are expected in the twin cities, Potohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir on Tuesday night and Wednesday.

Islamabad’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 28-30 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and 27-29 C on Thursday.

Rawalpindi’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 28-30 C on Wednesday and 27-29 C on Thursday.

Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed in most parts of Pakistan during the last 24 hours.

Nawabshah remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature reached 40 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 15 per cent.

In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 30 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 33 per cent.

In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 29 C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 24 per cent.
