On 2nd December, Pravin Togadia, the President of Antarashtriya Hindu Parishad, called for open genocide of Muslims across the world. Addressing a gathering of Bhakts at Haridwar, Togadia came up with an absurd data of history, even claiming that entire Europe and Arab world was Hindu before the advent of Christianity and Islam. He also stated that the Hindus were systematically exterminated by both Islam and Christianity and called for taking the same course as being followed by Israel in Gaza against Palestinians.
Many Indian cities and sites have been renamed in order to erase the country’s Muslim past. Some school textbooks now praise Hindu mythology while depicting the Muslim rulers of the Subcontinent as brutal. Hate crimes against Muslims and other minorities have gone unpunished for many years. Dissident artists and intellectuals are encouraged to “go to Pakistan” if they don’t like the way things are going.
Unfortunately, the pushback by secular India has been so weakened and trashed by RSS trolls, who run into millions, that it is becoming a rear-guard action.
Few years back a documentary with the title of ‘Reason’ by Anand Patwardhan appeared on the media. This documentary has proved that RSS hitmen from Sanathan Sanstha, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Hindu Janjagruti Samiti and Abhinav Bharat were used to assassinate dissenting liberal voices. Govind Pansare, a veteran communist leader, rationalist thinker, senior labour lawyer and prolific writer was assassinated outside his home on February 16, 2015. Targeted by close-range gunshots, he died on February 20. The inquiry into his murder revealed links between the murders of rationalist Dr Narendra Dabholkar (2013), Professor MM Kalburgi (2015) and journalist Gauri Lankesh (2017). The accused are linked to the extremist Hindutva organisations Sanatan Sanstha and Hindu Janjagruti Samiti, according to Maharashtra and Karnataka agencies. Unfortunately, the gang leaders like Sadhvi Pragya Thakur — who were part of the conspiracy of Malegaon Blasts in 2008 and were connected with death squads to assassinate dissenting voices — have landed in Indian Lok Sabha.
Patwardhan’s documentary appears to be a last-ditch effort by liberal and secular India, but it is becoming a losing battle as the time passes. Recent elections in the Cow Belt show that Hindutva ideology has entered every nook and cranny of India, and Modi’s status has shifted from Mahapurush to Mahatma who, despite ruthless administration and Neo Nazi credentials, must be faithfully obeyed.
The sweeping re-election of Modi in 2019 has reinforced the idea that the RSS cabal’s Hindutva objective is no more a pipedream but a reality. Godi media, which is funded by corporate India, dominates the debate and discourse on mainstream media. The legislative system and the pantheon of democracy are no more debating forums, but rather a notice board where Rajpath instructions are placed to be implemented without debate.
The Muslim, Dalit and Christian voter has been the biggest casualty of this election. Befuddled, confused and divided, the minorities have been absolutely suffocated. Another tendency during the state elections in the Cow Belt election was the dread of the Congress and other secular parties speaking out for minorities. Appeasing the majority Hindu populace has now become an established pattern in all political discourse in India, and it is referred to as Soft Hindutva.
With the ongoing Muslim genocide in Gaza receiving little to no accountability from the so-called international community or human rights organisations, fascist regimes such as India, headed by Narendra Modi, are sure of impunity for their attempt at a similar genocide in India. Genocide Watch, a globally recognised organisation dedicated to monitoring and raising awareness about genocide and mass atrocities, has issued a warning about India’s rapid progress toward potential genocide against Muslims.
Gregory Stanton, the organisation’s chairman, recognised for predicting the Rwandan genocide five years before it occurred, warned of early “signs and processes” of genocide in India during a US congressional briefing. He cited Modi’s Hindutva initiatives such as the loss of IIOJK’s special autonomous status and the passage of the Citizenship Amendment Act — which provided citizenship to religious minorities but excluded Muslims — as signs of impending Muslim genocide.
Stanton’s genocide model, known as ‘The Ten Stages of Genocide’, depicts India’s remarkable advancement through these stages throughout time. Classification and symbolization; discrimination and dehumanization; systematic persecution; annihilation; and denial are among the steps, with the goal of erasing both the victims and the memory of their suffering.
RSS thugs ruling the Rajpath in Delhi have displayed arrogance and ruthless attitudes. More recently we have witnessed Indian state-sponsored death squads unleashed by RAW, duly supported by Indian Ministry of External Affairs, to assassinate Sikh activists like Hardeep Sing Nijjar and Autar Singh Khanda in Canada and UK respectively. Even the American FBI had to charge sheet a RAW operator, who was given clear instructions from Doval’s office in the South Block to assassinate Sikh for Justice leader Gurpatwat Singh Pannu in American. Similarly, Qatar announced death sentence to eight senior Indian naval officers for spying and espionage at the behest of the Zionist government of Israel.
These back-to-back exposures of involvement of three major Indian ministries in espionage and assassinations on foreign soils have raised basic questions about Indian diplomacy and intelligence community. Technically, these incidents have highlighted the following: One, Indian Ministry of External Affairs in collusion with NSA’s office is involved in political assassination of Canadian, American and British citizens. Two, Indian Ministry of Defence through its retired naval officers is involved in espionage and sabotage of military secrets and infrastructure of friendly countries. And three, if the three main ministries are involved in sending death squads and assassination gangs to target American, Canadian and British citizens then PM Modi is directly involved in ordering such undertakings.
With Modi primed to win a landslide in the next year’s Lok Sabha elections, the ruthless RSS will get a free pass to declare India as Hindutva Republic. Can the international community check the slide of India into a Neo Nazi abyss? This is a million-dollar question.
