Democratic Custodial Services – ASSOCIATED PRESS

The accurate reports are wrong because they correctly described the status of these flights???

Get ready for some amazement.

When the wizards at the Associated Press saw Biden was exposed by the news story that stated he was actually flying immigrants into the country, they sprang into protective action:

Former President Donald Trump elevated false information that had gone viral on social media, claiming the Biden administration secretly flew hundreds of thousands of migrants into the United States.

Well, since Trump said it, then it MUST be a lie! But the question becomes: What part is untrue? Are those flights not happening?

People arrived under a Biden “parole” program that allows Cubans, Haitians, Nicaraguans and Venezuelans to stay in the U.S. for two years. Biden has exercised parole authority far more than any of his predecessors.

Okay, they are happening. Then maybe that number is way off, right?

Under a Biden policy in effect since January 2023, up to 30,000 people from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela can enter the country monthly if they apply online with a financial sponsor and arrive at a specified airport. The Center for Immigration Studies article says CBP approved flights that brought 320,000 to the United States last year.

Hmmm, then…what is left? Oh, the “secrecy” part, THAT must be the “falsely” reported aspect then!

The author, Todd Bensman, learned they came to 43 airports but the government refused to divulge which ones, citing an exemption under the Freedom of Information Act for law enforcement-sensitive information. Bensman said Wednesday that he doesn’t consider the program secretive, but finds it “enigmatic” and lacking in transparency.”

So this is a non-transparent operation operated in a manner to avoid FOIA requests - but it is NOT secretive! Well done AP, you have really managed to clear Biden of flying in immigrants to avoid detection at the border.

Body Checking the Fact-Checkers – SNOPES

That document that came is not real because it was released in error. Oh, kay then

It has been a classic case of the deplorable press exposing a story the legacy media would have let slide - because it reflects poorly on the administration - and then generating a rollback on the policy.

After the Xitter account @EndWokeness revealed that the Veterans Affairs department - in a sign of deranged wokeness - was going to take down images of the famous V-J Day embrace between a sailor and a nurse on the streets, there was a quick retreat from this decision. Now because of the embarrassment Snopes rides to the rescue, telling us that the things we saw were not real, that nothing like this happened, and the story is FALSE.

This, even though there was a memo issued, and it did in fact say the photo should be removed from facilities, and that it required the Secretary of Veteran Affairs to make a public statement that the picture was not being removed.

So…how is it called FALSE? Well…um…that original memo (which was real) was not meant to be released to the public (though it was real), and it said that they “request” that the picture be taken down, so it is not actually a “ban”, plus the memo has since been rescinded (which can only happen if it was real in the first place.)

Incredible.

Snopes rates it false but then admits that it was actually a real memo rescinded by the Biden VA after public outcry. pic.twitter.com/5bneAfT0MU

Pathological Media Amnesia – THE NEW YORK TIMES

Just so we are clear - nobody at the Times is ripping out their hair over this, because is it the Democrats?

One of the more infamous/hilarious stories to come from inside the New York Times was how the staff had a collective freak-out over the “controversial” Tom Cotton op-ed where he proposed sending in the National Guard to help tamp down the 2020 riots. The outrage led to internal turmoil, the paper issuing an apology, and even one of the editors - James Bennet - had to have his job sacrificed over this meltdown.

Among those expressing their dismay/outrage/pearl-clutching was Mara Gay, one of the editorial staff. Among her claims was that Cotton’s writing encouraged racism (naturally). We bring all of this up because of a new item that the paper covered. Governor Kathy Hochul has looked at the problem of growing crime on New York Subways.

Hochul has proposed bringing in the National Guard. The New York Times calls this a swell idea. The editorial was written by - Mara Gay.

Gilded Reframe – VOX

Now, you all do realize you are admitting that there is an inflation problem, right?

The press has spent years telling us everything from inflation is good for us, that the effects of it have been exaggerated, and then the past yaer or so telling us that it is not even something to be concerned about, because the stock market is doing great, and such. That is why it is amusing, in a fashion, to see them now coming out with advice on how Biden can get a handle on rising prices…that are either not happening or not painful.

He should pass some kind of an Act, one that would address Inflation, by some method of Reduction.
That should undoubtedly work! https://t.co/gmXoZFEya8

The minds at Vox quote one “expert” who has concocted a solution:

“While the government can’t necessarily control the prices retail puts on stickers, we can give more money to low-income people to deal with those higher prices.”

Your answer to the problem generated by the government printing money is to suggest the government just print more of it. Sheer brilliance.

Reporting on the Mirror – REUTERS

The fact-checking of jokes continues to be a thing.

The Babylon Bee continues to live in the minds of fact-checkers all around. In a recent entry from the satire site, they reported that the Biden administration had installed voting drop boxes along a convenient location.

Kyle Mann, he of The Bee, shared a message he received from the Reuters fact-check team regarding the provenance of the “photo” they used on that entry.

Reuters sent us an email to find out if our @TheBabylonBee story about ballot boxes being installed along the border wall was true.

Matching Media Memorandum – VARIOUS OUTLETS

Let’s be honest - he’s a more valid economic source than Paul Krugman.

We need to make a bit of a correction. Yesterday we unfairly dumped on NBC News, because they had reported on the famed Muppet, The Cookie Monster, coming out with commentary about shrink-flation.

We need to issue an apology because NBC was hardly the only outlet to idiotically stoop to the level of reporting on this breaking issue.

Seriously?! The news nets are REALLY going to go with Cookie Monster Economic Advisor?!?!?! pic.twitter.com/hgnw4AQsGZ
