Blue-Anon – NBC NEWS

Working diligently to ensure late-night comedians are comporting themselves properly.

MSNBC is currently looking to adjust the perception of its inherent bias, in the wake of the Ronna McDaniel hiring-crying-firing fiasco. But as the network strives to be seen as somewhat, kind of, sorta, possibly, a little bit maybe bi-partisan comes this column from Jacques Berlinerblau on its digital side, looking to police Jon Stewart and his return to “The Daily Show.”

It turns out that Stewart has responded properly to the criticisms that on his first broadcast he dared to poke fun at Joe Biden, and there have not been too many jokes at the expense of the president:

But the absence of any gags about Biden in the most recent episode suggests that Stewart has certainly heard the complaints. It’s never a bad thing when influential comedians acknowledge a mistake, even if they do so indirectly. Stewart’s rather even-handed smackdowns of Biden and Donald Trump were misguided and irresponsible.

Comedy, I submit, must be aware of its own brute power to shape and influence perceptions. to mock Biden and Trump as if they merited exactly the same amount of abuse is dangerous. Such impartiality redounds to the benefit of a candidate whose dictatorial ambitions are not merely performative.

In following the conspirational positions of MSNBC, Berlinblau literally says that it is important to only mock Trump on the late-night shows, because joking about Biden could lead to him losing the election, and if the dictator Trump wins, “there won’t be comedy”.

Yes…seriously.

Race to the Bottom – SUBSTACK

No people of color have lasting marriages, we presume.

Author Lyz Lenz has opinions about marriage. Those opinions are largely negative, and they are entirely based on her own failed marriage, it appears. But why a divorced white woman considers the institution to come from white supremacy is a complete mystery, outside of the fact she is trying to sell her book complaining about marriage. That racist angle does not appear to be helping, as her title sits lower than #21,000 in sales on Amazon.

When an upper middle class white lady says marriage is working for her…like yeah that’s the point of white supremacy and patriarchy, bb. It works for you and no one else.

DNC PR Firm – POLITICO

Is it possible to have a lower opinion of voters, while trying to convince them?

Jonathan Martin is looking to help the Biden campaign, as it is clearly foundering. His suggestion is to have the collection of Never-Trump “Republicans” - such as Chris Christie, Nikki HAley, and other noodle-spined names - stepping forward to endorse Biden. This caught the eye of another avowed True Conservative™, Charlie Sykes.

The notable aspect in this is the belief that there are enough people out there who are complete lemmings and have no foundational principles. There is also the belief that there are enough people who listen to Chris Christie to sway the election.

Via @jmart ---> ""It’s political malpractice. And Christie isn’t the only anti-Trump Republican or independent waiting for their phone to ring.

"Prominent former GOP officeholders, from George W. Bush to Mike Pence to Paul Ryan, also haven’t been contacted."…

Low-Octane Gaslighting – VARIETY

Do we consider them to be legal aliens then, or is that intolerant?

It is rather tiresome to hear complaints about racial representation in films. The Academy Awards have even flirted with violating labor laws by mandating minimum representation requirements in films in order to be considered for Oscar consideration.

Now comes another moronic racial complaint. In the current hit film “Dune 2”, it is said there is a paucity of Middle Eastern performers seen on screen:

Despite praise for the film’s stunning cinematography and visual effects, “Dune: Part Two” is being criticized by some commentators for failing to properly contend with the book’s Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) influences and commentary on Western imperialism. These critics offer a wide range of objections, including faulting the production for failing to cast many MENA actors in speaking roles, as well as leveling objections to story choices that diminish MENA influences.

It would be at this time we need to explain — not to our readers, but to the squishes in Hollywood - that no other races on Earth are properly represented, given that the film takes place entirely n another planet!

Artisanally-Crafted Narratives – Idaho Tribune

Is this a bounty on supremacists?!

We at RFTH are not cynical in nature (shaddup!), so we are not assuming this is a desperate call for volatile content, and may in fact be a lesson in how overblown these claims can be.

There has been much in the way of headlines about an alleged racial incident involving the women’s basketball team from the University of Utah, said to have been heckled repeatedly while staying in Northern Idaho for the NCAA tournament.

The Idaho Tribune is offering a cash payout for anyone who has evidence to provide of this taking place. It must not be well recorded, given this payout has been doubled and stands now at $800.

The Idaho Tribune is announcing a $200 REWARD for video or photographic evidence of the alleged “hate crime” against the Utah women’s basketball team (conditions apply).#idpol #idleg #NCAA
