Blue-Anon – CNN / THE ATLANTIC

This sequel to “Deep Impact” does not sound so intriguing.

The intonations of how a Trump presidency will lead to the worst calamitous results continue on cable news. Yes, the people who say it is the Republican Party that traffics in fear are delivering the nightmare scenarios on an almost daily basis.

The latest is from the re-re-re-reconstituted CNN morning show (we do not even know the name by this point), where David Frum was a guest, and he comes up with a…shall we say curious analogy.

He likens a Trump presidency to a looming asteroid striking Earth, and it is foolhardy to complain about the age of the captain on the rocket sent to destroy the supernal rock because it has already launched. We think? And Cassie Hunt actually calls this, “A very interesting analogy.”

Wake up with wild analogies! David Frum compares the re-election of Trump to a giant comet striking the Earth. And "if you're told the captain of the ship who's supposed to detonate the device that diverts the comet, may be a little old...." Well, he's the captain we have! pic.twitter.com/xeSPQCIyID

Presentation Paradox – NBC NEWS

That is just a false myth, which we will promptly prove to be accurate.

With news of cannibalistic warlords swarming across Haiti as that government once again melts down, NBC News decided it was time to come forward and declare that those who are noting these flesh-eating criminals on the island are completely in the wrong.

Elon Musk and conservative influencers have spread unverified claims to millions, smearing Haitian migrants as cannibals as they endure deep uncertainty about the future of their country and family members still there. https://t.co/iZCjMdenmu

NBC News is upset that conservatives have been spreading these malicious rumors, apparently done to bolster anti-immigration positions. Yet, there is something we noticed in the coverage. In declaring that these dastardly conservatives are spreading “unverified claims” of cannibals, we see — right there in paragraph #4 — that NBC News manages to verify that the claims are in fact accurate. How about that?

Blue-Anon – CNN

Don’t question Jake’s sources as he questions comments made over a decade ago.

News came out this week that outside presidential hopeful Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has drawn up a shortlist for running mates, with one name mentioned being NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Right on cue, Jake Tapper springs forward with some disqualifying information about the controversial QB: Somebody heard Rodgers say something to somebody 11 years ago! He is unqualified for the White House!

Citing an anonymous source who verifies the testimony of CNN figure Pamela Brown, it is said that at the Kentucky Derby in 2013, Rodgers spouted some conspiracy-level opinions about the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. What this has to do with anything is only a smaller mystery than how Brown had been sitting on this supposedly crucial information for over a decade, and why we should even trust the account of a biased news outlet and an anonymous source.

Stealth Story Evolution – VARIOUS OUTLETS

That story they said was extremely vital a few weeks ago? Yeah, it is not so vital today.

Reaching all the way back to the last week of last month, recall how we were all told to be outraged when Dagny-Nex Benedict, a 16-year-old student in Oklahoma, had been attacked in a hate crime and eventually died from the injuries. At the time, we covered how so much of the narrative in the press was not matching up with the emerging facts of the case.

Well, now the toxicology report has been released, and it shows that Benedict passed away after committing suicide by injecting a lethal amount of Prozac and Benadryl. The silence in the media is only surpassed by the lack of corrections or apologies regarding the prior coverage.

Artisanally-Crafted Narratives – POLITICO

Were you able to type that story with all of the popcorn butter on your fingers?

You can understand the conflict that must have transpired in the mind of Gary Fineout when he learned that a conflict was emerging between two despicable conservative figures; whose side does he take in THIS?!?!

The issue was that the account Libs Of TikTok put up a post that said the state of Florida was issuing driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants. Governor Ron DeSantis responded to this post to correct the record, stating how not only does his state not issue licenses to illegals, it also refuses to recognize a license issued by other states to people who are not citizens. He also made a comment about Chaya Raichik farming for account traffic.

Fineout looked over this exchange and came to an odd conclusion; he says that DeSantis started it.

Just to lend some clarity to this exchange, Raichik later put up a lengthy post declaring that DeSantis “attacked” her and stated she had corrected herself in a couple of comments within the same post. DeSantis hardly attacked her as he clearly stated the position of the state. As for his comment on the desire for traffic, he seems on point there as well – Raichik has not taken down the post she has admitted was an error, seemingly enjoying any traffic it still generates.

Another possible factor: She also recently posted pictures of herself with a crowd of conservative influencers at Mar-a-Lago, so she is possibly establishing to which side of the GOP she is aligning herself.

Reporting on the Mirror – XITTER

Don’t tell me he is collecting more checks for not working!

Don Lemon is/was about to debut his new show on Xitter in a few days, and for his introductory interview, he had the CEO himself, Elon Musk, sit with him. The conversation had become rather contentious at times, and not long after their talk, the announcement came from Musk that he was terminating the deal with Lemon.

Now, it is unclear if there was a guarantee of payment, but if so, this would mean Lemon is collecting checks from two sources to not do any work. Adding to the amusement, Don next raced to his former employer CNN (that IS still paying on his contract), and sat with Erin Burnett in order to complain about Musk.

Legalized Press-titution – ABC NEWS

Oh, just take over for KJP already!

As the White House continues to instruct the press on how to cover former Special Counsel Robert Hur's testimony and the transcripts from his Joe Biden interview regarding the classified documents investigation, we see one reporter already on board. As administration spin doctor Ian Sams was on the lawn speaking to reporters, the notable Mary Bruce of ABC was showing she was not in need of any coaching, as she was in full pro-Biden mode.

Ms. Bruce set up a softball – make that a wiffle ball – question for Sams: “Does the White House believe that Robert Hur is acting as a partisan player?”

After the White House wonk delivered a lengthy answer saying just that, Ms. Bruce seemed to want to express completely her devotion to the party, reiterating her query with, “But do you think he has a political agenda?”

Karine Jean-Pierre might be getting nervous that she is about to be replaced!
