The Trudeau Liberals should be ashamed to try to move back the 2025 election date by one week to enable 80 more members of Parliament to qualify for a pension for life.
No private sector employee would receive such a benefit. Instead, why not move the election forward by a week, or even a year?
If the Liberals truly believe that a “strong democracy begins with enabling all Canadians to freely exercise their fundamental right to choose their representative,” then why not call an election now?
The savings would be huge!
