I can understand why the students at Kingsville District High School are upset because, to them, they are losing their school identity.

This also affects the other elementary schools that are being eliminated to fill this new mega-school. They are also losing their identities.

This is not just a combination of Kingsville students alone. It is only the physical building that is in Kingsville. A new school could have been built in Harrow, Ruthven or Arner for that matter.

Whatever the name is or isn’t going to be, let’s include everyone regardless of physical location. Also, let’s keep the politicians out of this — both municipal and provincial.

Remember, these mega-schools were politically motivated and they didn’t care who got stepped on in the name of eliminating jobs and saving money for the government.

Let’s get this resolved and move on.
