I applaud Alberta for its multi-prong approach that includes putting resources into rehabilitation programs targeting drug addiction that leads to hopelessness and living on the street.

By exploring other concrete innovative solutions there is potential that ideas will spill over into housing and related employment problems. Fiscal responsibility at all levels of government requires collaboration.

By looking beyond artificial boundaries of the issues as well as mandated responsibilities, the silo effect can be reduced so taxpayer funding can make a real difference to the health and safety of everyone.
