Skipping the New Year’s resolution circus? Totally get it. I’ve never understood the “new year, new me” mantra. What I’ve come to realize is that I’m a “setting intentions” person.

Why set myself up for an inevitable February fizzle? Take my recent revival of Japanese language studies a few weeks ago–I didn’t wait for a countdown to midnight to rekindle my friendship with Kanji. It’ll be years before I’m fluent, but the journey is half the fun!

A quiet commitment to a new or old intention is like stoking the eternal flame that I believe burns within all of us for a meaningful life.

That’s the power of intentions: they help you focus on what you want and how to get it, no matter the date. So, what are your intentions for this year, your life? Whatever they are, I wish you all the best and hope you have fun along the way!
