To save money, I stopped buying bottled water about a year ago. The taste of tap water has never bothered me. I found that if I refrigerate it, it usually tastes better.

All was going well with my water until last week when it all of a sudden started tasting like unfiltered chemicals. It has become undrinkable – unless I mix it with my orange-flavored Metamucil.

Me neighbor has a water filter and says it did not help eliminate the chemical taste.

Google says if tap water is over-chlorinated, one can improve the taste by heating it, refrigerating it or adding mint or lemon to it. But I did refrigerate it and it still tasted bad. Maybe the chemical taste is being caused by something other than chlorine.

I’m curious, readers. Are any of you in the Foothills also having issues with the taste of your tap water?
